With only 3 races left to the end of NHRA racing season, right about the same time Castellana became the first driver to bump in the 5.6s NHRA legal trim last season,Mike driving for Qatar based Al Anabi Performance shifted his Frank Manzo tuned '17 Supercharged Camaro taking pole at the NHRA Midwest Nationals with another historic national record Pro Mod run.
  • Rewriting history!
Castellana powered the all black Al Anabi ‘17 Camaro to a 5.676-second pass at 255.39 mph to set the record of the quickest ET in the NHRA history during Q3 session on Saturday. With this terrific pass, it simply meant Mike Castellana with AAP team broke their  previous NHRA pro mod record 5.685-second pass at 250.46 mph which was the first time a pro mod driver ever bumped in the NHRA 5.6s trim!

“Well I knew we ran good the run before," Castellana stated. "It felt like it was on a better run and I had a good feeling it was going to be better and it was. Consistency will be needed for tomorrow. Whoever gets down the track with good runs I think will win this thing."
Frank Manzo as usual was involved with the Al Anabi team in tuning the beast for Mike Castellana and will now face Shane Molinari in the first round of eliminations on Sunday(today). This was Mike's 2nd No1 qualifier this season and 12th of his career.
